Ubiquitous Battery-free Internet of Things Lab (UBIoT) was established by Professor Gong Wei in 2018. The lab targets the national strategic needs and is driven by the needs of key national industries such as healthcare, transportation logistics, energy and electricity. Deep research in basic science, using multi-interdisciplinary basic principles, tools and theories to build a new generation of all things intelligent architecture; Facing the frontiers of science and technology in the world, driven by innovation in the "no man's land", we are committed to building digital infrastructure for a smart society to achieve the "two centenary goals".

The laboratory mainly focuses on the research of passive computing, passive network and intelligent perception, and has set up four innovative research groups: battery-free computing, battery-free network, smart healthcare and smart society. Relying on key projects such as the National Natural Science Key Project, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Anhui Provincial Key Fund, the company has conducted joint research with Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Simon Fraser University and other internationally renowned universities, and carried out in-depth cooperation with enterprises and public institutions such as CRRC, State Grid, the Affiliated Hospital of USTC, China Merchants Bank, etc., so as to deepen the research on the new generation of Internet of Things technology and break the foreign technology monopoly. Solve existing industry problems.

The laboratory is in a leading position in the field of passive Internet of Things research, carrying out innovative research in the architecture, transmission and networking of the Internet of Things and system design, and has achieved a series of internationally leading important scientific research achievements. Related research results have been published in top international conferences and journals such as ACM MobiCom, CoNEXT, IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE/ACM Trans. on Networking. More than 100 papers have been published, including more than 30 CCF A papers, and 7 patents have been authorized.

The laboratory always adheres to the enterprising spirit of "making new day by day", the innovative spirit of "not studying the past but not studying the present", takes "first-class style of study" as the most important criterion, builds "united collective" as the cornerstone of development, and constantly innovates and makes progress in seeking truth from facts, and finally achieves "excellent results". The laboratory aims to construct the infrastructure and platform of the Internet of things in the world, and makes it our own duty to cultivate the world-class talents of the Internet of things, so as to promote the leapfrog development of the Internet of things in our country.
