USTC UBIoT 2023 Postdoctoral and Researcher Recruitment Notice

1Platform Introduction

UBIoT Lab aims at national strategic needs, taking the needs of key national industries such as healthcare, transportation and logistics, energy and power as its traction, and deeply engages in basic scientific research, using the basic principles, tools and theories of multiple interdisciplinary disciplines to build a new generation of intelligent architecture of everything. The lab is oriented to the world's science and technology frontier, driven by innovation in no man's land, and dedicated to building digital infrastructure for smart society to achieve the great goal of two hundred years. The lab’s leader, Wei Gong, has published more than 100 papers in international high-level journals and conferences, more than 30 papers in CCF-A category, and has won the best paper award in many international conferences. He have hosted and participated in more than 20 major national key projects including NSFC major and key projects, 973 program, 863 projects. The steering committee of the lab is composed of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Canadian Academy of Engineering and other top scholars from home and abroad, and has maintained long-term cooperation with leading companies in the industry, such as China Mobile Research Institute, Tencent, Huawei, DJI, MDA (one of the world's leading earth observation satellite information companies) and Mojio (one of the largest Telematics companies).

 

2Recruitment Information

We are now looking for professors, associate professors, researchers, associate researchers, post-docs and other talents at all levels for scientific research work at home and abroad. Specific requirements are as follows.

Applicants for professor and associate professor

(1) Have a systematic and solid theoretical foundation and profound professional knowledge in the field, with a high level of research results and academic attainments.

(2) Be able to aim at the international academic frontier, serve major national strategic needs, and carry out research work creatively.

(3) Have published representative achievements such as academic papers, teaching research results, books or textbooks with great influence, which are well received by the academic community.

(4) Have presided over and participated in important teaching research or scientific research projects, or won awards representing a higher level in the field, or engaged in scientific and technological development, transformation work and creation and creativity in related fields, achieving more significant economic and social benefits.

Applicants for researcher and associate researcher

(1) Have a solid and systematic professional basic theory, good knowledge transfer ability and the ability to conduct scientific research independently.

(2) Have good development potential, have a clear and stable research direction and have a certain role in promoting the development of discipline construction.

(3) Have achieved research results of high originality and scientific value, and as the first author of high-quality papers or reports in top international journals or conferences.

(4) Have participated in high-level scientific research around frontier scientific issues or national strategic needs, or other contributions that can prove personal ability.

Applicants for postdoctoral positions

(1) Have PhD degree in computer and its related disciplines (electronics, microelectronics big data, network security, electrical machinery, etc.) and other related disciplines. Applicants who are familiar with the intersection of information disciplines and various other disciplines are preferred.

(2) Have a strong interest in computer systems and their industry applications, with strong independent problem-solving skills.

(3) Have strong applied research ability and professionalism and be able to complete postdoctoral research tasks with due diligence.

(4) Applicants who have highly published papers and relevant large-scale scientific research or engineering development experience are preferred.

(5) Under 35 years of age.

 

3Support Policy

Differentiated policy support is provided depending on the level of talent applied for, and details are determined after an interview with the lab head. The basic support policies are as follows.

(1) Remuneration: Salary is on a one-person, one-negotiation basis, with additional project performance.

(2) Housing security: Allotment of a set of talent apartment, assistance in applying for provincial and municipal housing security policies.

(3) Children's schooling: Assistance in arranging children's schooling and other matters.

(4) Fund application: Focus on recommending applications for the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key Research and Development Program, and other research funds.

(5) Talent programs: We recommend the application of various national, Anhui and Hefei talent programs.

(6) Working conditions: Provide good office facilities, premises and research environment, excellent working team.
